This climbing rose is on the railing of the deck right off our backdoor. It reminds me of roses that my Grandmother had in her yard.

This is why....
This is why I enjoy gardening so much. These pictures were taken this morning as I did my walk about with my first cup of tea for the day. My roses, irises, hosta and peonies are putting on quite a show. Join me for a quick tour of the garden in Ortville.
This hosta is planted at the foot of my deck stairs. It is HUGE. The colors are wonderfully green and vibrant in the spring and then appear very cool and lush in the heat of the summer.
These shrub roses are planted along the sidewalk leading to our front door. They are very fragrant and their perfume just is intoxicating.
These peonies are in a flower bed just off of our deck. I have several bushes in this colorway scattered throughout the yard.
This iris bed is right on the edge of the woods. The bed is a mixture of irises and daylilies so it goes from this bright blue to yellow and orange as the season progresses.
