Hope you enjoyed getting a chance to finally see it. Thanks for all your support while I was frantically stitching this. I feel like it was a true team effort.

Tooth Fairy Pillow Was A Big Hit
The baby shower for my nephew's wife was yesterday. It was a wonderful event and she got some really cute (and tiny) things for the wee one. I wish you all could have been there when she opened the gift from us. The look on her face when she saw the tooth fairy pillow was fabulous. It made all my frantic stitching feel like it was worth while. I've been promising you pictures as soon as the shower was over - so here they are. The first picture is a close up of the tooth fairy pocket. The image doesn't do it justice - but the trim around the pocket and the pillow has these wonderful little tufts of metallic and pink and blue threads. It makes it look almost shabby chic.
This is a close up of the ice cream cone and some of the bigger dots. Again, just to give you a feel for some of the stitches and threads.
This is the back of the pillow. The finishers at PFOS were sweet enough to put my initials and the year on that adorable blue and mint green leopard print.
And here is the front of the pillow. Again, the picture doesn't do it justice. It is a wonderful mix of mint green, pale blue and pink. I am very pleased with the finished product.
Hope you enjoyed getting a chance to finally see it. Thanks for all your support while I was frantically stitching this. I feel like it was a true team effort.

Needlepoint worthy
I don't know about ya'll but I do alot of thinking and problem solving when I am stitching - especially if it is just basketweave. If my mind is spinning or I am fretting over something - stitching will settle me down and help me put things into perspective.
One of the things that I have thinking about during my marathon tooth fairy pillow stitching sessions is needlepoint worthiness. My buddy, MJ, and I have talked about this topic alot. Some people in this world are needlepoint worthy and others are not. Those who are "worthy" realize how much time, energy, expense, love, sweat and tears go into a project. These same folks appreciate your efforts and cherish the fact that you took the time to stitch for them. Then, there are the those folks that just don't get it. They don't understand that you did this project just for them and what all was involved in the production of this pillow, picture, purse, etc. I, unfortuately, have stitched for both types of people. Needless to say, the needlepoint worthy ones have gotten additional stitchy items from me. The ones who have been deemed "not worthy", due to a lack of appreciation for the first stitchy item, have never gotten another stitching related thing.
The one thing that has kept me going on this tooth fairy pillow is the knowledge that this gift will DEFINITELY be appreciated and that it will cherished by my very needlepoint worthy nephew and his lovely wife.
I follow alot of your blogs and I know that several of you stitch for friends and family. Do you ever encounter people that are not appreciative of your talents? What do you do when you realize that they really weren't needlepoint worthy?
